Health Instead of Punishment Program Steering Committee
Our Steering Committee helps guide our Health Instead of Punishment Program’s strategic directions. We believe social change work must be rooted in accountability to people directly impacted by criminalization, incarceration, and surveillance, as well as movement leaders.
Thus, our current members include:
- Aimee Gana, currently incarcerated and connected with California Coalition of Women’s Prisoners
- Caesar Thompson, Abolitionist Public Health Student and Radical Public Health organizer
- Dustin Gibson, PeoplesHub
- Jackie Jahn, Ubuntu Center on Racism, Global Movements & Population Health Equity at Drexel University; DeeperThanWater Coalition
- Maria Thomas, Beyond Do No Harm
- Rehana Lerandeau, Critical Resistance
